We are poised to help you explore the world of Sauvignon Blanc! You will have the opportunity to discover which style you like best as we pour Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, California and France at our *complimentary* Expressions tasting this Saturday, February 20th from 1pm-4pm. 🧀Say Cheese Wednesday featuring Lamb Chopper from Cypress Grove! 🐑🏍Lamb Chopper is a sheep’s milk gouda-style cheese produced in the Netherlands for California’s Cypress Grove Chevre. It is produced in Holland because it is more difficult in the USA to source organic sheep’s milk, and because the cheese is made using Dutch milk and Dutch “flora”cultures. The 9 month aged cheese is buttery and sweet in flavor with a waxed rind, butterscotch in color on the outside, lighter in the center. The flavor is reminiscent of a mild & elegant gouda, and pairs well with fruit, such as apples, crusty bread and crackers. 🧀Say Cheese Wednesday at Jill's Provisions Featuring the Trifecta from Will Studd! 🧀Will Studd's Brillat Saverin is a deliciously creamy cheese, yes, TRIPLE-cream, from Bourgogne - a decadent cheese confection! Because this rind is soft and difficult to wrap, it is presented in a poplar wooden box. The box keeps the flavor yeasty and delicious as it ages. Texture is semi-soft with a bit of tangy, slightly sour, softened butter. Pairs exceptionally well with sparkling wines. 🍾 🧀Will Studd's "Le Duc" Vacherin is a soft and fragrant washed rind cow’s milk cheese, wrapped in Spruce bark, from France. You may be familiar with our other spruce bark bound cheese, Harbison (from Jasper Hill Farm in Vermont). "Le Duc" Vacherin has a mild creamy flavor and soft, fudge-like texture in its youth. As it ages it will ripen and bloom and ripple and become more earthy in flavor. Serve with a spoon to eat from the center or even heat the cheese in its box (removing wrapping). Do not be afraid to eat the cheese near the bark; it's delicious! Pair with any French white wine. 🧀Will Studd's "Le Conquerant" Demi Pont-L'eveque Camembert soft ripened cow's milk cheese with a washed rind from Normandy.
