About Jill
Jill Backman is passionate about food, with a particular affection for distinctive chocolate and independent chocolate makers. She loves to bake, to share, and is smitten with handcrafted food. Jill has been intensely studying, traveling and having conversations about food culture, history, politics, science, environment, faring and provisioning. Raised and educated in Mass, Jill studied art history in Boston and for over 25 years renovated and decorated historic homes in Portland and Kennebunkport, Maine while raising her children. She is on the Board of The Friends of Artis-Naples for whom she has been leading tours throughout Florida. Jill moved to Naples in 2013 joining her husband Bruce Nichols. There, she added “Jill’s Provisions” to The Wine Store. Although the Wine Store has closed, Jill keeps busy with custom orders for Charcuterie Boards, Gift Baskets and Chocolate Tastings!
